In short: this extension does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. Everything happens inside your browser.

What the extension does

When you highlight a price on a web page, right-click and choose “Convert”, or open the toolbar popup, the extension reads the selected text locally in your browser to detect the amount and currency, and shows the converted value. Selected text is never sent anywhere.

Data stored on your device

Your settings (home currency, extra currencies, display preferences) are saved with chrome.storage.sync. If you have browser sync turned on, your browser vendor syncs them between your own devices; we never receive them.
Exchange rates and the last values typed in the popup are cached with chrome.storage.local on your device.

Network requests

About every 6 hours the extension downloads public exchange-rate files. These requests contain no personal information, cookies or identifiers:

Frankfurter (api.frankfurter.dev) — official European Central Bank reference rates.
fawazahmed0/currency-api, served through cdn.jsdelivr.net and currency-api.pages.dev — open exchange-rate data.

As with any web request, these providers may see your IP address in their standard server logs. Please refer to their own policies.

What we don't do

No analytics, tracking, advertising or fingerprinting.
No browsing history is read or recorded.
No data is sold or transferred to third parties.
No remote code is loaded or executed.

Permissions

Read the page you are on — only to detect the price you select and show the conversion bubble.
storage — save your settings and cached rates.
contextMenus — the “Convert” right-click option.
alarms — refresh rates periodically.
scripting / activeTab — read your selection when you click the toolbar icon or menu, on tabs opened before the extension was installed.

Rates are mid-market reference values for information only. Your bank or card issuer may apply a different rate or fees.

En resumen: esta extensión no recopila, almacena, vende ni comparte datos personales. Todo ocurre dentro de tu navegador.

El texto que seleccionas se analiza localmente para detectar el precio y nunca se envía a ningún servidor. Tus ajustes se guardan con chrome.storage.sync y las tasas en chrome.storage.local, en tu dispositivo. Cada ~6 horas se descargan archivos públicos de tasas de cambio desde Frankfurter (Banco Central Europeo) y fawazahmed0/currency-api, sin datos personales, cookies ni identificadores.
